One of the most common questions I get from customers is “How do I clean my jewelry?” It’s a fact: Sterling silver will tarnish, and it will need to be cleaned once in a while. Luckily, cleaning your sterling silver and 14k gold-filled Foterra Jewelry is very easy to do. All you need is a Sunshine Brand Polishing Cloth and a little elbow grease. I’ll even show you how it’s done!
Begin by cleaning the outer edge (the metal frame) of the piece. This is usually the place that becomes tarnished and dirty first.
Now it is time to clean the chain. Fold the cloth in half and sandwich the chain inside. Pull the chain along the inside of the cloth (gently so it does not break!). You will need to do this a few times. As you repeat this process the metal will become brighter and shinier!
If you are cleaning earrings, clean the image charm along the sides first. Be sure to clean the ear wires as well.
Lastly, polish up the resin image. Sunshine Brand Polishing Cloths are safe to use on resin. The polishing cloth will make it nice and shiny! When you are all finished cleaning your piece, use a soft cloth or a microfiber cloth to wipe down the piece.
